{"id":35829,"date":"2025-07-08T14:02:24","date_gmt":"2025-07-08T11:02:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kysk.ee\/?page_id=35829"},"modified":"2026-02-05T16:41:33","modified_gmt":"2026-02-05T14:41:33","slug":"nfcs-development-program-for-ngos-to-promote-integration-2025-2029","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/kysk.ee\/en\/nfcs-development-program-for-ngos-to-promote-integration-2025-2029\/","title":{"rendered":"NGO Development Programme: Involving Newcomers, People from Different Cultural Backgrounds, and Returning Estonians in Community Activities (2025\u20132029)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"#background\"><strong>Background<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"#Implementers\"><strong><strong>Implementers<\/strong><\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"#Program\"><strong>Development Programme<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"#Contact\"><strong>Contact<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\" id=\"background\">Background of the Programme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">The <strong>&#8220;Community Activities Promoting Integration&#8221;<\/strong> project, launched by Estonia&#8217;s Ministry of Culture and co-financed by the <strong>European Social Fund+<\/strong> (\u20ac5.2 million total budget), aims to increase the participation of <strong>newly arrived immigrants<\/strong>, <strong>returnees<\/strong>, and <strong>people with diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds<\/strong> in community life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">The project runs from <strong>2024 to 2029<\/strong> and supports Estonia\u2019s long-term integration policy goals under the <em>Cohesive Estonia Development Plan 2021\u20132030<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\" id=\"Implementers\">Key Implementers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-el\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kul.ee\/en\/cultural-diversity-and-integration\/integration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><strong>Ministry of Culture<\/strong> <\/a>\u2013 coordinates overall activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Integration Foundation<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/integratsioon.ee\/en\/estonian-language-house-old\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><strong>Estonian Language House in Ida-Viru County<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 focuses on Ida-Viru County.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/rahvakultuur.ee\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">Estonian Folk Culture Centre<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 works across Estonia and mentors NGOs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>NFCS (National Foundation of Civil Society)<\/strong> \u2013 builds NGO capacity through a 4-stage development program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\" id=\"Program\">K\u00dcSK&#8217;s Development Program (2025\u20132029)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">This is a <strong>training and support programme<\/strong> for <strong>NGOs in Estonia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">The goal is to help NGOs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-el\">\n<li>Learn how to <strong>involve people with a migrant background<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Become <strong>more open and inclusive<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Grow and develop<\/strong> as an organisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">This is <strong>not a funding programme<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">Who can join?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">Your NGO can take part if:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-el\">\n<li>You want to <strong>develop and improve<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are interested in <strong>working with people from different backgrounds<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are ready to <strong>learn and make changes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">What do you get?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">In the programme, your NGO will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-el\">\n<li>Get <strong>trainings and mentoring<\/strong> from experts,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work on your <strong>organisation\u2019s development<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learn to plan <strong>inclusive and welcoming activities<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet and learn from <strong>other NGOs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">This is a <strong>learning journey<\/strong>, not a grant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">Why is it important?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">Including people from different cultures takes time and effort.
