{"id":6727,"date":"2021-08-26T13:24:06","date_gmt":"2021-08-26T10:24:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kysk.ee\/?page_id=6727"},"modified":"2023-09-04T09:36:32","modified_gmt":"2023-09-04T06:36:32","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/kysk.ee\/en\/about-us\/","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-el\">National Foundation of Civil Society (NFCS)\u00a0has a strict division of responsibilities in our organisational structure to ensure transparency, expertise and to avoid conflicts of interests. <a href=\"https:\/\/kysk.ee\/en\/about-us\/national-foundation-of-civil-society\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Look for more in our mission, vision and strategy document.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">SUPERVISORY BOARD OF NFCS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">Consisting of 5-7 representatives from public sector and civil society organisations, with the latter having majority of seats, the board plans and supervises NFCS\u2019 work, decides its budget and major grants. <a href=\"https:\/\/kysk.ee\/en\/about-us\/the-supervisory-board\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Look for more here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">BUREAU OF NFCS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">The bureau of around 10 people deals with everyday work of NFCS: devising and administering grant programmes, monitoring the correct use of project funds and chasing grants\u00b4 impact on CSOs (Civil Society Organisations), cooperating with other civil society developers, etc. NFCS is also operating as a contact point of <strong>Citizens, equality, rights and values programme CERV<\/strong>.<a href=\"https:\/\/kysk.ee\/en\/contact\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/kysk.ee\/en\/activities\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Find out here what we do.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">PROJECT ASSESSORS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">A team of 23 independent civil society experts who assess projects, with a principle of 3 assessors for each project, by using a list of evaluation criteria previously decided by the supervisory board. This ensures objective and conflict-free proposals for funding. The final grant decisions are confirmed by either the executive director or the supervisory board. <a href=\"https:\/\/kysk.ee\/en\/about-us\/the-assessor-team\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Look for more here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">CONSULTANTS IN COUNTIES<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">NFCS coordinates CSO consultants in all of Estonia\u2019s 15 counties\u2019 development centers who provide free counselling throughout the lifecycle of CSOs and hold trainings on various important topics for CSOs. <a href=\"https:\/\/kysk.ee\/en\/activities\/ngo-support-programme\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Look for more here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading wp-el\">CLOSE DAILY CONTACT WITH CSOS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">We include our target group in drawing up conditions for grant applying, ask constantly for feedback (and give it about projects as well), also visit them.
